MED-INTERPRISE TUNISIE
February 8-10, 2005

Under the auspices of the Ministry of Development and International Cooperation and with the support of the European Union, the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA-Tunisia) organizes with the cooperation of the Agency for the Promotion of Industry (API) and the Union for Trade, Industry and Handicrafts (UTICA) Med-Interprise Tunisie , which will be held from 8 to 10 February 2005 at the Kram Exhibition Park.
The two-day event is expected to gather about 150 SMEs both from Tunisia and the following E.U. member states : Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain and the United Kingdom and will provide a great opportunity to both sides to hold around 300 to 500 direct meetings to discuss concrete business projects.

OBJECTIVES
Med-Interprise Tunisie aims at:
• Strengthening bilateral cooperation ties between Tunisian companies and their European counterparts.
• Offering the opportunity to both sides to discuss a wide range of possible cooperation opportunities.
• Better introducing Tunisian investment environment and business opportunities to foreign visiting companies.

TARGETED SECTORS
Med-Interprise Tunisie will focus on the following most promising sectors with regards to the potential they offer for joint-ventures, subcontracting or licensing.

The selection of these sectors matches with the Government’s strategy which aims at developing F.D.I. and partnership.
The selected sectors are:
• Electric and electronic industries
• Plastic industries
• Agri-business industries
• New Information and Communication Technologies.

THE VENUE
Med-Interprise Tunisie will take place at the Kram Exhibition Park, at less than half an hour from the City Center. Private booths will be available to host companies and National Counsellors along with Organizers, information counter, in addition to a booth specially dedicated to the European Commission.
A special area will shelter a Business Center, visitor to visitor meetings, a Press Center, a Computer and Internet room, Catering…
Regular shuttle services will be available to ensure the transfer of participants from airport to hotels to the event venue.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE
If you are interested in taking part to Med-Interprise Tunisie , we invite you to fill in the following Registration Form as well as the Hotel Reservation Form. Both forms will be automatically forwarded to Med-Interprise Tunisie organizers.The latter will contact you and will provide you with the event catalogue which comprises the list and profiles of the Tunisian participating companies.
On the basis of the catalogue reply form, tailor-made programs will be prepared for all host and E.U. participants.
Each visiting company will receive the meeting agenda before leaving for Tunisia.
